1. Service and educational purpose

Learning Portuguese provides European Portuguese educational content. Although reasonable care is taken, no particular learning result, uninterrupted availability or error-free content is guaranteed.

2. Accounts

You must provide accurate information, protect your login and notify Learning Portuguese of suspected misuse. One person should not impersonate another, share paid access improperly or attempt to bypass access controls. Account features may require acceptance of the current Terms and Privacy Policy.

3. Free, premium and evolving features

Some content is free, beta or experimental. Features, lesson structures, rewards and availability may change. Material changes affecting a paid plan will be handled consistently with applicable consumer law and the information shown at purchase.

4. XP, streaks, missions and badges

XP, streaks, missions, badges and similar rewards are motivational features only. They are not money, cannot be sold or transferred and have no cash value. Calculations may be corrected when activity is duplicated, invalid or affected by a technical error. Using Reset XP permanently removes the learning progress and rewards identified in the confirmation warning and may not be reversible.

5. Android reminders and vibration

Daily reminders and tap vibration are optional device features. Reminder delivery can be delayed or prevented by Android permissions, battery optimisation, device settings or technical limitations. You can disable them in the app or Android settings.

6. Memberships and recurring subscriptions

The price, billing interval and included benefits are shown before checkout. Website subscriptions may be processed by Stripe; Android subscriptions may be processed by Google Play. Recurring subscriptions renew until cancelled through the provider or management method made available for that purchase.

7. Cancellation, account deletion and refunds

Cancellation prevents future renewal but does not normally erase access already paid for. Deleting a Learning Portuguese account does not automatically cancel an external Stripe or Google Play subscription. Refund rights depend on applicable law, the product and the provider used; contact support promptly if a payment appears incorrect.

8. Books, downloads and private lessons

Purchases or bookings made through Stripe, Google Play, Amazon, Google Play Books, Gumroad, Classgap or another external platform are also governed by that provider's checkout, delivery, cancellation and refund terms.

9. Personal-use licence and intellectual property

Unless expressly stated otherwise, lessons, exercises, characters, artwork, music, lyrics, translations, videos, software, branding and downloads are owned by or licensed to Learning Portuguese. Access grants a limited, personal, non-transferable learning-use licence. You may not scrape, reproduce, redistribute, resell, re-upload, automate access to, or commercially exploit the materials without permission.

10. Acceptable use

Do not interfere with security or operation, introduce malicious code, abuse forms or accounts, manipulate progress or purchase verification, infringe rights, or use the service unlawfully.

11. External services

External services and links have their own terms and availability. Learning Portuguese is not responsible for third-party systems outside its reasonable control.

12. Availability and liability

The service may be maintained, updated, suspended or discontinued. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Learning Portuguese is not liable for indirect loss, third-party outages or lost progress outside reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes rights or liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

13. Privacy, cookies and changes

Use of the service is also governed by the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy. Updated terms will show a revised date. Continued use after an update applies to future use, subject to mandatory law.
